Entry Level Physical Therapist Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level physical therapist job?
Start by completing your licensure (NPTE) and ensuring your clinical internship hours are well documented, since most entry level postings require a current state license and value hands-on rotation experience over tenure. Tailoring your resume to highlight specific patient populations, treatment modalities, and settings you worked in during school gives you a concrete edge over candidates who submit generic applications.
Which companies hire entry level physical therapists?
Companies hiring entry level physical therapists right now include Rehab Employee Services, FOX Rehabilitation, and Ivy Rehab Network, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level covers outpatient orthopedic clinics, hospital systems, skilled nursing facilities, and home health agencies, many of which actively recruit new graduates as part of structured onboarding programs.
Are there remote entry level physical therapist jobs?
Yes, though most physical therapist roles require in-person patient care. About 1% of entry level physical therapist openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and these tend to be telehealth positions focused on chronic pain management, post-surgical follow-up, or home exercise program coaching rather than hands-on treatment.
Are these new grad physical therapist jobs?
Yes. The listings here include new grad, recent graduate, and junior physical therapist roles. A posting is typically new-grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, counts clinical rotations or internships toward the requirement, or explicitly invites candidates who graduated within the past year to apply without prior full-time employment in the field.
Which industries hire the most entry level physical therapists?
Entry Level physical therapist roles concentrate in Healthcare & Medical Services, Consulting & Professional Services, and Non-Profit & Social Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive entry level hiring because patient volume is high, caseload supervision structures suit new graduates still building clinical independence, and turnover creates consistent openings for candidates stepping into their first role.
