Ready to join in? We are looking for ambitious Physical Therapists to join our 12-month residency program in orthopedic physical therapy. This is a great opportunity for learning experiences offered through the residency program which includes teaching and 1:1 mentoring. This position will be based at the outpatient facility in Chicago, IL near the Illinois Medical District. The Physical Therapist will provide physical therapy services as a credentialed, independent provider to improve the person's physical function and mobility. We have one opening available for 2026-27 cohort.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Complete all activities regarding training, mentorship, and pass all presentation, testing, and writing requirements of the orthopaedic residency.
- Evaluates patient and gathers appropriate information to determine accurate clinical diagnoses and treatment plan.
- Complies with laws, rules and all regulatory requirements pertaining to the practice of physical therapy, including but not limited to, supervision of PTAs and aides (as allowed).
- Documents patient care to meet standards of care as well as regulatory and payer requirements.
- Establishes appropriate, functional, and objective goals based upon clinical examination.
- Devises detailed treatment and care plans for patients.
- Provides exceptional patient care and service.
- Meets or exceeds productivity requirements.
- Maintains friendly, cordial relations with all clients and employees; maintains a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner that results in positive and respectful working relationships.
- Cultivates relationships with patients and the community.
- Provide continuous communication with referring physicians and other referral sources to ensure a consistent level of care. Coordinates with case managers and family members as appropriate.
- Maintains patient charts, clinical logs, and checklists necessary for compliance.
- Maintains patient confidentiality with regard to medical records per company policies and procedures and assures compliance with all HIPAA guidelines.
- Communicates well in a professional setting.
- Performs additional duties as required.
Requirements:
- Doctorate Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Program
- Experience with outpatient orthopedics and sports medicine.
- Current State of Illinois Physical Therapy license.
- Maintenance of CPR Certification.

Pay Range: $56,000 - $58,800. Compensation at MOR is determined by many factors, which may include but are not limited to, job-related skills and level of experience, education, certifications, geographic location, market data and internal equity.
