About the Role
We are seeking an experienced, compassionate Nursing Leader to guide and improve the delivery of quality care at our Red Bud Regional hospital location. This pivotal role involves collaboration with key clinical leaders to drive patient-centered, cost-effective, and high-quality nursing care. The position also ensures compliance with nursing standards and participates in shaping strategies to meet Deaconess’ mission and goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Lead clinical initiatives and manage day-to-day operations to align with organizational goals. Foster collaboration across interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes and nursing practices.
- Nursing Practice & Performance: Drive nursing excellence by ensuring compliance with the ANA Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice. Oversee staff education and clinical performance to achieve optimal patient care.
- Quality & Safety: Ensure the implementation of best practices and continuous improvement in patient safety and care quality, meeting national benchmarks and safety standards.
- Human Resource Management: Develop, mentor, and retain nursing staff while fostering a supportive and innovative work environment. Manage staffing and performance to meet the evolving needs of patient care.
- Fiscal Responsibility: Manage department budgets effectively, ensuring optimal use of resources while maintaining fiscal integrity.
What We’re Looking For
Education Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Required
- Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) or Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN and a Master's degree in related field, or an active plan to complete within five (5) years of appointment Required
- MSN Preferred
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of nursing leadership experience
- Demonstrated project management and operational leadership skills
Skills
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to drive quality improvement and regulatory compliance
- Knowledge of EPIC EHR (preferred)
- Familiarity with six-sigma or other quality improvement methodologies (preferred)
Licenses
- Current RN licensure in the State of Illinois (Required)

Compensation:
Hourly Range - $70.02 - $105.03
Incentives:
Eligible for evening/night, weekend shift incentive based on company policies and applicable job codes. Additional details will be provided during the interview process.

Potential for a performance-based bonus, subject to eligibility criteria and achievement of defined metrics. Details regarding bonus eligibility and performance goals will be provided during the interview process or upon hire.
