INTRODUCTION

The Chemical and Physical Sciences Department at MSSU is currently seeking candidates for a one-semester, non-tenure track Visiting Assistant Professor Position in Physics starting August 2026 in Joplin, Missouri. Successful candidates should be prepared to teach physics I, physical science, and possibly other physics courses.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The position requires demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence and advising at the undergraduate level.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

A master’s degree or Ph.D. in Physics, or a related field is preferred; however, candidates who are ABD will be considered.
