Entry Level Power Bi Analyst Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level power bi analyst job?
Build a portfolio of real dashboards using publicly available datasets and publish them where hiring managers can see your work. Employers at the entry level look for candidates who understand data modeling basics, can write DAX formulas, and know how to turn raw numbers into a clear visual story. Internship experience, a relevant degree, or a completed analytics bootcamp all help you stand out against other new grad applicants.
Which companies hire entry level power bi analysts?
Companies hiring entry level power bi analysts right now include Unisys, BARCEL, and Med-Metrix, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. At this level, hiring tends to come from mid-size firms building out their analytics teams, large enterprises with dedicated BI practices, and consulting firms that staff analysts across multiple client projects.
Are there remote entry level power bi analyst jobs?
Yes, though many openings still require at least some in-office presence. About 50% of entry level power bi analyst openings are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, so fully remote roles exist but are not the majority at this experience level. Hybrid schedules are common, especially at companies that use onboarding time to train new analysts alongside senior team members.
Are these new grad power bi analyst jobs?
Yes, this page includes new grad, recent graduate, and junior power bi analyst roles alongside other entry level listings. A posting is typically new-grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, accepts internship or academic project work in place of professional history, or explicitly asks for a portfolio rather than a long employment record. Look for language like "entry level," "junior," or "0-2 years" in the job description.
Which industries hire the most entry level power bi analysts?
Entry Level power bi analyst roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Consulting & Professional Services, and Distribution & Wholesale, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. These sectors tend to generate high volumes of data that teams need to report on regularly, which creates steady demand for junior analysts who can build and maintain dashboards even without years of prior experience.
