Job Title: Assistant or Associate Professor of Clinical Practice

Job Summary:
You will serve as an attending physician and provide care for critically ill children on the Critical Care service at Children's Hospital Colorado. Candidates will be expected to serve as attending physician and to work on teams with learners and advanced practice providers, as well as work in an independent manner on teams without learners or advanced practice providers. Clinical service will be shifts that consist of both days and in house nights and include a mix of these types of teams as determined by the medical director for the needs of the unit. Candidates will be expected to supervise and educate residents and fellows, students, and advanced practice providers. They will be expected to participate in quality improvement and hospital or department committees. In addition, you will be expected to contribute to departmental and institutional missions.
Clinical Service Responsibilities
i. Provide high quality, evidence-based critical care to children in the PICU
ii. Ensure responsive, high-quality and consistent service to all customers of the CHCO PICU including patients, families and referring providers
iii. Maintain acceptable performance under the Section’s Ongoing Professional Evaluation matrix
Administrative Responsibilities
i. Participate in appropriate committees within the Section of Critical Care and CHCO
i. Support Section and hospital efforts in quality improvement and education.

Onsite – this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, CO.

This is an open rank position and could be categorized as Assistant Professor or Clinical Practice or Associate Professor of Clinical Practice based on experience and qualifications as indicated below:
Assistant Professor of Clinical Practice
- Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine
- Board certified / Board eligible in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine
Associate Professor of Clinical Practice
- 7 or more years’ experience as pediatric intensivist
- Examples of Scholarship
- Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine
- Board certified / Board eligible in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine
Condition of Employment:
- Must successfully pass a drug test through Children’s Hospital Colorado
- Must be willing and able to pass a national criminal background check

Anticipated Pay Range:
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:
Assistant Professor of Clinical Practice: $234,500 to $277,400
Associate Professor of Clinical Practice: $285,900 to $342,200
The above hiring range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
