Product Development Intern Jobs in Phoenix: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a product development intern job in Phoenix?
Target Phoenix's strongest hiring sectors: medical devices, semiconductor hardware, consumer products, and enterprise software. Companies clustered in Tempe near Arizona State University, the Camelback Corridor, and the Downtown Innovation District post the most intern roles. Candidates who can show hands-on project work, CAD or prototyping experience, and familiarity with agile or stage-gate processes stand out in this market.
Which companies hire product development interns in Phoenix?
Phoenix product development intern roles are posted by ASM, Walgreens, and First Solar and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. The Phoenix market includes a mix of established medical-device manufacturers, semiconductor firms, and consumer-goods companies that run structured intern cohorts each year.
Are there remote product development intern jobs in Phoenix?
Yes, though availability depends heavily on the role: research, data analysis, and software-side product work can go remote, while hardware prototyping and lab-based positions are almost always on-site. About 29% of product development intern openings tied to Phoenix are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with the most flexibility found in tech and software-adjacent companies in Tempe and the Camelback Corridor.
How can I get a product development intern job in Phoenix with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Phoenix is through Arizona State University's industry partnership programs, which connect students directly with Tempe and Downtown Phoenix employers. Target smaller consumer-goods startups and medical-device suppliers in the East Valley, where teams are lean and interns take on broader responsibilities early. A portfolio showing even a single end-to-end concept project, whether a capstone, hackathon entry, or personal build, meaningfully improves your odds here.
Which industries hire the most product development interns in Phoenix?
Phoenix product development intern roles concentrate in Construction & Real Estate, Medical Devices, and Investment & Asset Management, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Phoenix's deep base of semiconductor manufacturers, medical-device companies, and growing consumer-tech startups anchored around the ASU Research Park and the Camelback Corridor drives consistent intern demand across those sectors.
