Position Summary
The Production Lead provides support to manufacturing teams through assistance in problem solving, process and product improvement, procedure review, and assistance in training. The Production Lead also supports engineering on specific projects by assisting in testing.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist and provide input for production operations
- Identify and implement process improvements
- Identify and implement quality improvements
- Train production team members as required
- Organize and perform physical inventory
- Assist engineering with building and testing product for process or equipment validations or improvements
- Maintain effectiveness when experiencing major changes in the work task or the work environment; adjusting to work within new work structures, process requirements, or cultures
- Take action to accomplish objectives, achieve goals beyond what is required, be proactive, and improve existing conditions
- Maintain and promote social, ethical and organizational norms; firmly adhere to ICU’s codes of conduct and ethical principles
- Work effectively and cooperate with others
- Generate innovative solutions in work situations and provide alternate ways to deal with work problems and or opportunities.
Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications
- Good communication skills, both orally and written
- Basic computer skills, experience with MS office including word and excel, Oracle and Ifactory system
- Good knowledge of our inventory system
- Proficient with our work order and training system
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED required
Must have 5 years’ experience in assembly, production or production planning
Minimum Qualifications
Must be 18 years of age
Travel Requirements
Typically requires travel less than 5% of the time
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
- This job operates in a clean room environment.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to sit or stand for the duration of the shift
- Must be able to repetitively move and lift objects of up to 20 lbs
