Join Jack Henry as a Programmer Analyst and Make an Impact from Day One
Are you ready to bring your programming expertise to a team that powers the heart of banking technology? Jack Henry is seeking a Programmer Analyst to join our dynamic Implementation Team, supporting our flagship core processing platforms—SilverLake and 20/20.
In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of transforming customer data, converting it seamlessly into our SilverLake and 20/20 databases. You’ll also dive into code—resolving bugs, correcting errors, and enhancing base functionality to ensure smooth installations and optimal performance. This role blends the excitement of extensive travel to customer sites nationwide with a hands-on environment that allows you to see your work come to life in real-time. This is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact.
This is a remote position, and candidates must live within approximately a 70-mile radius of our office locations in Allen, TX; Birmingham AL; Cedar Falls, IA; Charlotte, NC; Lenexa, KS; Louisville KY; Springfield, MO; or Monett, MO.
All positions, regardless of location, may require an onsite interview or in-person onboarding requirement to verify your identity.
What you’ll be responsible for:
- Develops programming code for new and/or existing software enhancements.
- Devises block diagrams, logic procedures and prepares flowcharting.
- Troubleshoots and debugs existing code.
- Tests code and fixes to ensure quality.
- Develops conversion and system implementation plans; implements newly created code and fixes into existing software.
- Provides programming support for various interfaces.
- Keeps customers informed of all enhancements, troubleshooting, and fixes; may assist the customer in determining if and how system enhancements may improve process flow and business function.
- Creates all programming documentation; may include defining the system and functional requirements of the product.
- May complete project bids and/or work effort estimates. Interacts with customers to gather system requirements.
- May perform other job duties as assigned.
What you’ll need to have:
- Minimum 18 months of experience in any programming language acquired through education and/or professional job experience.
- This position entails 50% travel for software implementations, typically involving up to two trips per month. Each trip may last between 5 to 9 days.
- Ability to work extended hours that will include nights and weekends during the install.
What would be nice for you to have:
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Experience with one or more programming languages: RPGLE, CLLE & SQL.
- Banking industry experience.
- Experience with Silverlake or 20/20.
