Mid Level Project Architect Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a mid level project architect job?
Position yourself as someone who has carried a project through multiple phases with real accountability. Highlight experience coordinating consultants, managing drawing sets, and navigating permitting or code reviews. Employers at this level want evidence you can own deliverables without constant direction, so lead with specific project types and the decisions you made, not just the tasks you supported.
Which companies hire mid level project architects?
Companies hiring mid level project architects right now include HDR, Jobot, and LGA Partners, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Hiring at this level comes from a broad mix of mid-size design firms, large architecture and engineering practices, and corporate real estate teams with ongoing capital project programs.
Are there remote mid level project architect jobs?
Yes, though availability depends heavily on project type and firm culture. About 20% of mid level project architect openings are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, with hybrid arrangements being more common than fully remote. Roles tied to active construction administration or site visits typically require local presence, while design-phase and documentation-heavy positions offer more flexibility.
How do I move up to a mid level project architect role?
The path from entry level to mid level is built on progressively larger ownership. Early on, focus on mastering documentation standards, building code fluency, and contributing to coordinated drawing sets. Over time, seek out opportunities to lead a project phase, manage a consultant relationship, or mentor a newer team member. Licensure progress signals readiness to employers looking to promote or hire at this level.
Which industries hire the most mid level project architects?
Mid Level project architect roles concentrate in Consulting & Professional Services, Construction & Real Estate, and Healthcare & Medical Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. These sectors drive consistent hiring at this experience level because they sustain long project pipelines that require architects who can manage delivery across design, permitting, and construction phases without senior-level hand-holding.
