Entry Level Project Coordinator Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level project coordinator job?
Employers hiring at this level look for candidates who can demonstrate basic organizational skills, familiarity with project management tools like Asana or Trello, and the ability to coordinate across teams. Internship experience, a portfolio showing a project you managed end to end, or a certification like CAPM gives you a concrete edge over candidates with only coursework on their resume.
Which companies hire entry level project coordinators?
Companies hiring entry level project coordinators right now include Medpace, Johns Hopkins University, and Trimark USA, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. A mix of large corporations, mid-size consultancies, and growing startups tend to post at this level, since they often need junior coordinators to support established project managers rather than operate independently.
Are there remote entry level project coordinator jobs?
Yes, though on-site and hybrid roles still make up a significant share of openings. About 13% of entry level project coordinator openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, so candidates open to any work setting will have the widest selection of roles to apply to.
Are these new grad project coordinator jobs?
Yes, these listings include new grad, recent graduate, and junior project coordinator roles. A posting is new-grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, counts internships or volunteer project work, or accepts a portfolio in place of full-time history. Searching for junior or new grad project coordinator roles will surface the most accessible openings for candidates just starting out.
Which industries hire the most entry level project coordinators?
Entry Level project coordinator roles concentrate in Education, Construction & Real Estate, and Consulting & Professional Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors hire at this level because they run ongoing project pipelines that require junior coordinators to handle scheduling, documentation, and stakeholder communication under the direction of senior project managers.
