How do I get a project coordinator job in Philadelphia?
Focus your search on Philadelphia's largest hiring sectors: healthcare systems along the Avenue of the Arts corridor, universities in University City, construction and development firms tied to ongoing infrastructure projects, and professional services firms in Center City. Candidates who can demonstrate stakeholder coordination experience and familiarity with project management tools like Smartsheet or Asana stand out. Applying to mid-size firms that run multiple simultaneous projects often moves faster than targeting large institutions.
Which companies hire project coordinators in Philadelphia?

Philadelphia's mix of health systems, universities, engineering firms, and growing life sciences companies makes it a diverse market for coordinators at every experience level.
Are there remote project coordinator jobs in Philadelphia?
Yes, though it depends heavily on the role: desk-based coordination in IT, marketing, or finance tends to support remote or hybrid arrangements, while construction, facilities, and clinical project coordinators are usually required on-site. About 20% of project coordinator openings tied to Philadelphia are remote or hybrid as of July 2026. Hybrid roles are most common among professional services and technology employers concentrated in Center City.
How can I get a project coordinator job in Philadelphia with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Philadelphia is targeting coordinator assistant or program associate roles within the city's large healthcare networks and universities, which regularly hire entry-level candidates and offer structured onboarding. Volunteering with Philadelphia-area nonprofits on event or program coordination builds practical experience that transfers directly. Earning a CAPM credential or completing a project management certificate through a local community college strengthens applications for roles at professional services and consulting firms in Center City.
