Serve as the ultimate project leader for a 1 GW data center campus, overseeing multiple concurrent phases, buildings, and utility-scale infrastructure installations.
Develop and execute comprehensive project strategies, integrating preconstruction, estimating, scheduling, and field operations to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
Drive integration of technology and sustainable building practices across the campus lifecycle.

Supply Chain & Complex Contract Management
- Oversee the procurement strategy for critical long-lead equipment (e.g., generators, chillers, switchgear, substations) required for a 1 GW deployment.
- Direct the drafting, negotiation, and execution of complex contract exhibits and specialized Scopes of Work (SOW), particularly for intricate systems like BMS (Building Management Systems) and EPMS (Electrical Power Monitoring Systems).
- Partner with procurement teams to navigate supply chain volatility and ensure material availability aligns with the master schedule.
Financial & Operational Excellence
Hold ultimate P&L responsibility for the campus buildout, managing multi-billion-dollar budgets and ensuring financial health, accurate forecasting, and profitable execution.
Champion an industry-leading safety culture, ensuring all site operations adhere strictly to company and regulatory safety standards.
Oversee rigorous Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) programs, ensuring zero-defect delivery necessary for mission-critical facility commissioning (Levels 1-5).

Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing project team consisting of Project Directors, Senior Project Managers, Senior Superintendents, MEP Managers, and Cost Managers.
Define roles, responsibilities, and performance metrics for the project team, driving accountability and professional growth.

Project Executive Jobs in Phoenix: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a project executive job in Phoenix?
Focus your search on Phoenix's construction and commercial real estate sectors, where large-scale development along the Camelback Corridor, Downtown, and the West Valley drives consistent demand for project executives. Healthcare system expansions and data center buildouts around Chandler and Mesa also hire regularly. Candidates with PMP certification, experience managing multimillion-dollar budgets, and a local subcontractor network consistently stand out in this market.
Which companies hire project executives in Phoenix?
Phoenix project executive roles are posted by Ryan Companies US, Volarify, and The PENTA Building and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. The local market includes a mix of national general contractors with Phoenix regional offices, commercial developers headquartered in the metro, and healthcare systems running ongoing capital expansion programs.
Are there remote project executive jobs in Phoenix?
Yes, though availability depends heavily on the role type. Project executive positions tied to active construction sites or facilities management are rarely fully remote by nature, while those focused on program oversight, client reporting, and vendor coordination can support hybrid arrangements. About 25% of project executive openings tied to Phoenix are remote or hybrid as of July 2026. Technology and professional services firms in the Tempe and Scottsdale submarkets tend to offer the most flexible arrangements.
How can I get a project executive job in Phoenix with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Phoenix is moving up from a project manager or senior project manager role within one of the metro's large general contractors or healthcare construction divisions. Local firms handling Valley Metro light rail expansions, municipal infrastructure, and hospital construction regularly promote from within. Building relationships with Phoenix-area construction associations and pursuing PMP or DBIA credentials signals readiness for executive-level responsibility before a formal promotion.
Which industries hire the most project executives in Phoenix?
Phoenix project executive roles concentrate in Construction & Real Estate and Consulting & Professional Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Phoenix's sustained population growth, ongoing semiconductor and data center investment in the East Valley, and large hospital system expansions make these sectors the primary engines of local project executive demand.
