Project Executive Jobs in Atlanta: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a project executive job in Atlanta?
Focus on Atlanta's most active hiring sectors: large-scale commercial construction, mixed-use development, and enterprise technology services. Firms headquartered in Buckhead and Midtown tend to hire project executives with experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder programs. A background managing projects tied to Atlanta's ongoing infrastructure buildout, corporate campus expansions, or transit corridor development gives candidates a clear edge over generalist applicants.
Which companies hire project executives in Atlanta?
Employers hiring project executives in Atlanta right now include Gilbane, Yates Construction, and CRH, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Atlanta draws a mix of national construction firms, regional commercial real estate developers, and technology services companies, all of which regularly carry project executive openings across their Atlanta offices.
Are there remote project executive jobs in Atlanta?
Yes, though with limits: project executive roles tied to construction or on-site program delivery are rarely fully remote, while those in technology program management or consulting can be. About 11% of project executive openings tied to Atlanta are remote or hybrid as of June 2026. The most remote-compatible work tends to involve client reporting, vendor coordination, and stakeholder communications rather than field oversight.
How can I get a project executive job in Atlanta with little or no experience?
The most realistic path in Atlanta is to start as a project manager or senior project manager at a mid-size construction or technology firm, build a record of delivering projects on schedule, and move up from there. Atlanta's growing Southside development corridors and the city's active public-private transit and infrastructure programs create entry points for candidates willing to take on project coordinator or assistant PM roles at regional firms before stepping into executive responsibility.
Which industries hire the most project executives in Atlanta?
Most project executive openings in Atlanta sit in Construction & Real Estate, Manufacturing, and Chemicals & Materials, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Atlanta's role as a regional hub for commercial real estate development, corporate headquarters, and technology services keeps sustained demand for senior project leadership across those sectors.
