Implementation Project Manager Jobs in Georgia: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a implementation project manager in Georgia?
Most implementation project managers in Georgia enter the field through a bachelor's degree in business, information systems, or a related discipline, then build experience managing technology or operations projects. Georgia has no state-issued license for this role, but earning a Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute is the most recognized credential Georgia employers expect. Starting in junior project coordinator or business analyst roles at Atlanta-area technology companies or hospital systems is a common and effective path.
How much do implementation project managers make in Georgia?
Implementation project managers in Georgia earn a median of about $102,140 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $58,290 for the lowest 10% to over $163,320 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire implementation project managers in Georgia?
Employers hiring implementation project managers in Georgia right now include Fiserv, INTROL, and Walmart, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Georgia's concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters, large healthcare networks, and logistics companies means steady, recurring demand for this role across multiple industries.
Which Georgia cities have the most implementation project manager jobs?
Atlanta, Monroe, and Alpharetta have the most implementation project manager openings in Georgia. Atlanta drives the majority of demand as the state's corporate and technology hub, anchored by the concentration of enterprise software firms, hospital systems, and financial institutions, while Alpharetta's technology corridor and Augusta's healthcare and government sectors generate consistent secondary hiring.
Are there remote implementation project manager jobs in Georgia?
Yes, and more than most fields, because implementation project management is fundamentally a coordination and communication role that translates well to remote work. About 100% of implementation project manager openings tied to Georgia are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, with full-remote most common in SaaS and enterprise software implementations where client sites are geographically dispersed.
How can I get hired as a implementation project manager in Georgia with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving laterally from a business analyst, helpdesk, or operations coordinator role into a junior project coordinator position at one of Atlanta's many mid-size technology or healthcare IT firms. Large Georgia employers like Piedmont Healthcare and NCR Voyix run associate and rotational programs that expose early-career candidates to implementation work. Earning a CAPM certification and building a portfolio of even small internal projects significantly strengthens applications for candidates without a formal PM title.
Where can I find and apply to implementation project manager jobs in Georgia?
You can find and apply to implementation project manager jobs in Georgia on Migrate Mate, which lists current Georgia openings across industries and experience levels. Find the roles that fit your background and apply directly.
