Implementation Project Manager Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a implementation project manager in Texas?
Most Texas employers expect a bachelor's degree in business, information technology, or a related discipline alongside demonstrated project leadership experience. Texas does not require a state-issued license for this role, but earning the Project Management Professional credential from the Project Management Institute is widely treated as the industry standard. Many candidates enter through business analyst, IT coordinator, or systems analyst roles before stepping into implementation project management.
How much do implementation project managers make in Texas?
Implementation project managers in Texas earn a median of about $98,440 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $57,460 for the lowest 10% to over $162,780 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire implementation project managers in Texas?
Employers hiring implementation project managers in Texas right now include Rippling, Rightway Healthcare, and American Heart Association, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Texas's large concentration of technology companies, healthcare systems, and financial services firms means consistent demand well beyond the handful of names you see on any given day.
Which Texas cities have the most implementation project manager jobs?
Austin, Dallas, and Plano account for the most implementation project manager openings in Texas. Dallas-Fort Worth draws the largest share thanks to its dense cluster of corporate headquarters, consulting firms, and regional technology hubs, while Houston's energy and healthcare sectors and Austin's growing enterprise software ecosystem each generate steady hiring in their own right.
Are there remote implementation project manager jobs in Texas?
Yes, and more than many project-based roles, because implementation project managers often work through digital collaboration tools and scheduled calls rather than exclusively on client sites. About 39% of implementation project manager openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting how broadly distributed the client base can be. Discovery, planning, and documentation phases of an implementation are most commonly handled remotely, while go-live support may require on-site presence.
How can I get hired as a implementation project manager in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is landing a business analyst or IT project coordinator role at a Texas-based consulting firm, healthcare system, or large enterprise and building implementation exposure from there. Companies like Dell, Cognizant, and major Texas health networks regularly hire associates into project support roles that feed into full implementation project manager positions. Earning a CAPM certification before you apply and building a portfolio around any system rollout or process improvement project, even a small internal one, gives you a concrete edge in interviews.
Where can I find and apply to implementation project manager jobs in Texas?
You can find and apply to implementation project manager jobs in Texas on Migrate Mate, which lists current Texas openings across industries and experience levels. Search the listings, find roles that fit your background and location, and apply directly without creating an account or signing up.
