Compliance Program Manager Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a compliance program manager in Texas?
Most compliance program managers in Texas start with a bachelor's degree in business, finance, law, or a related field, then build several years of experience in compliance analysis, internal audit, or regulatory affairs before stepping into a program management role. Texas does not require a state-issued license for most compliance roles, but employers across the energy, healthcare, and financial services sectors strongly favor candidates who hold the Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP) credential issued by the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics.
How much do compliance program managers make in Texas?
Compliance program managers in Texas earn a median of about $75,370 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $45,170 for the lowest 10% to over $126,920 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire compliance program managers in Texas?
Employers hiring compliance program managers in Texas right now include Amazon, Apple, and Google, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Texas's concentration of major financial institutions, integrated energy companies, and large hospital systems means demand for compliance program managers is spread across a wide range of regulated industries rather than clustering in one sector.
Which Texas cities have the most compliance program manager jobs?
Houston, Austin, and Dallas account for the greatest number of compliance program manager openings in Texas. Houston leads due to its dense concentration of energy companies, financial institutions, and large hospital systems, while Dallas draws demand from corporate headquarters in banking, insurance, and professional services, and Austin's fast-growing technology and healthcare sectors have steadily added compliance program management roles in recent years.
Are there remote compliance program manager jobs in Texas?
Yes, and more than many comparable managerial roles, since compliance program management centers on policy oversight, documentation, and reporting rather than physical presence. About 17% of compliance program manager openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting broad employer acceptance of distributed compliance teams. The tasks most commonly done remotely include policy drafting, training program administration, and regulatory reporting, while on-site presence is more often required for audit facilitation and board-level engagement.
How can I get hired as a compliance program manager in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving into a compliance coordinator or compliance analyst role first, then building toward program management responsibilities over two to three years. Large Texas employers in healthcare, such as major hospital systems based in Houston and Dallas, and financial institutions with Texas operations regularly post entry-level compliance associate roles that serve as structured on-ramps. Lateral moves from roles in internal audit, risk management, or legal operations are also common. Earning the CCEP certification or completing a compliance certificate program through a Texas university demonstrates commitment and gives less-experienced candidates a concrete credential to point to.
Where can I find and apply to compliance program manager jobs in Texas?
You can find and apply to compliance program manager jobs in Texas on Migrate Mate, which lists current Texas openings updated regularly. Search the available roles, identify the ones that fit your experience and target industry, and apply directly to each employer through the listing.
