Job Title: Assistant Project Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Assistant Project Managers to support the planning, execution, and delivery of projects for our growing Federal Projects Division. The Assistant Project Manager will assist in ensuring that all aspects of a federal project run smoothly — from subcontractor procurement and submittal management to tracking deliverables, managing schedules, and coordinating communication between stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate project activities, resources, equipment, and information
• Assist in the development and maintenance of project documentation including schedules, budgets, reports, and meeting minutes
• Act as the point of contact and communicate project status to all stakeholders
• Monitor project progress and handle issues that arise
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans, and reports
• Prepare presentations and progress reports for internal and external stakeholders
• Utilize project tracking software to maintain project tracking tools, including schedules, task lists, and status reports
• Budget tracking and invoice processing
• Support team members with administrative tasks as needed
• Ensure standards and requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle
• Manage subcontractor procurement for federal project scopes, including solicitation, bid leveling, and award
• Prepare, track, and manage submittals through the approval process with subcontractors, vendors, and government stakeholders
• Coordinate onboarding of subcontractors, including the required background check and site-access process for federal job sites

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field strongly preferred
• 2+ years of experience in a project coordination or support role
• Knowledge of project management tools and software (e.g., MS Office Suite, MS Project, Procore, Contractor Foreman, Knowify and Smartsheets)
• Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of federal government construction projects and requirements (e.g., GSA, VA, Davis-Bacon Act compliance)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in construction industry specifically elevator modernization projects
• Familiarity with budgeting and financial tracking

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
