Position Overview
This position is accountable for performing sensitive, confidential support functions for the Director of Highways Project Implementation by reviewing and summarizing technical documents, collecting and evaluating data, managing general office functions, and conducting special reviews and ad hoc studies for the executive staff in the Office of Highways.
Essential Functions
- Develops alternatives or recommendations on matters of a confidential, sensitive nature affecting departmental programs.
- Maintains effective liaison with groups and individuals within the department as well as external interest groups.
- Provides assistance in the selection of broad priorities, methods to be used for allocation of funds, and promotion of departmental measures and programs.
- Provides accurate and comprehensive advice to the Director of Highways Project Implementation on a variety of issues.
- Effectively manages day-to-day office operations and keeps supplies and equipment working properly.
- Successfully plans, coordinates and schedules meetings and activities for the Director of Highways Project Implementation.
- Performs duties in compliance with departmental safety rules. Performs all duties in a manner conducive to the fair and equitable treatment of all employees.

Minimum Qualifications
