Project Coordinator

Full-Time, In-Office

Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

$30-$40 per hour

Job Summary

The Project Coordinator supports the Project Manager, to keep projects running smoothly and within budget without compromising safety and quality standards, in addition to meeting customer, statutory/regulatory, and organizational requirements.

Core Responsibilities

· Assists Project Manager in maintaining project schedules in conjunction with the customer’s requirements to meet project schedules.

· Works with internal installation resources as needed on relevant functions; helps create internal project documents.

· Works with sub-contractors as needed on relevant functions; helps create project documents. Assists with creating and distributing proper sub-contractor paperwork.

· Ensures components are ordered and delivered for projects on time, creates purchase orders for installation sub-contractors.

· Escalates project problems to Project Manager for prompt resolution of any project problems to ensure that project is completed on time and on budget

· Acts as the Project Manager following those functions on entry level projects.

• Responsible for maintaining standard drawing/design packages for individual projects and client programs
• Maintains current job plans and specifications
• Maintains all records of project status, changes, material flow and other control records and supervises the preparation and processing of reports for internal and external use
• Assists in the preparation of base data required for monthly job billing
• Maintains delivery schedules and coordinates task scheduling with vendors.
• Create and maintain schedules for projects, clients, and technicians. Verify Technicians hours match what was scheduled.

Organization Relationship

· Coordinates activities with Engineering, Purchasing, Sales, Customer Service, Distribution, Subcontractors, Internal Technician and other functions, as needed on entry level projects.

Qualifications

· Associate or bachelor’s degree in business or project management preferred

· Good communication skills and the ability to work well with people are essential

· High attention to detail and extreme sense of urgency

· 3-5 years working in the electronics field, project coordination, administrative, scheduling or project management

· Knowledge of MS 365 and ERP systems.

· A general knowledge of CAD and Drafting techniques
