Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and technical Project Manager to lead the lifecycle development of our next-generation cannabis vape hardware. In this role, you will bridge the gap between our product design, engineering, compliance, and supply chain teams. You will manage the end-to-end execution of new hardware launches—including cartridges, disposable pens, pods, and custom vaporization devices—from initial concept to final manufacturing and market launch.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Lifecycle Management: Define project scope, timelines, milestones, and deliverables for multiple hardware product lines simultaneously.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Coordinate daily activities between industrial design, mechanical engineering, quality assurance (QA), procurement, and marketing.
- Supply Chain & Vendor Liaison: Manage communication with overseas Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Original Design Manufacturers (ODMs), primarily located in Asia, ensuring production timelines are met.
- Regulatory Compliance: Collaborate with legal and regulatory teams to ensure all vape hardware complies with regional cannabis packaging laws, heavy metal testing guidelines, and electrical certifications (e.g., CE, RoHS, FCC, UL).
- Risk & Quality Mitigation: Identify project bottlenecks, supply chain risks, and manufacturing defects early to implement corrective actions.
- Budget Tracking: Manage product development budgets, tooling expenses, and Bill of Materials (BOM) cost tracking to ensure target profit margins.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: 3–5 years of project management experience, with at least 1–2 years specifically within consumer electronics, hardware manufacturing, or the cannabis/vape industries.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) or Agile/Scrum certification is highly preferred.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of vaporization technology, injection molding, battery mechanics, heavy metal compliance, and hardware manufacturing processes.
- Global Supply Chain: Experience working directly with overseas manufacturers (specifically in China/Shenzhen vape ecosystems) and managing international logistics.
- Tools: Proficiency with project management software such as Asana, Jira, Monday.com, or MS Project.
- Authorized to work in the US without the need for employer sponsorship.
Preferred Competencies:
- Deep passion for or deep understanding of the cannabis industry and evolving vape regulations.
- Exceptional communication skills to bridge technical engineers with creative designers.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly shifting regulatory environment.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive base salary
- Health, dental, and vision insurance

Project Manager Jobs in Scottsdale: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a project manager job in Scottsdale?
Focus your search on Scottsdale's highest-hiring sectors: healthcare systems clustered along the Loop 101, financial services and insurance firms in the Scottsdale Financial District, and technology and professional services companies in the Airpark and Old Town corridors. Candidates who combine PMP or Agile certifications with industry-specific experience, particularly in healthcare IT or construction management, stand out in this market. Networking through local groups like PMI's Valley of the Sun chapter also gives Scottsdale candidates a real edge.
Which companies hire project managers in Scottsdale?
Employers hiring project managers in Scottsdale right now include Quanta Services, Quanta Infrastructure Solutions, and Artel, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Scottsdale attracts a mix of large corporate campuses, regional hospital systems, and mid-size professional services firms, all of which maintain active project management teams.
Are there remote project manager jobs in Scottsdale?
Yes, though availability depends on the role type: fully remote work is more common for IT, software, and program management positions, while construction, facilities, and on-site operations roles in Scottsdale are largely in-person. About 34% of project manager openings tied to Scottsdale are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting broader flexibility among the city's technology and financial services employers.
How can I get a project manager job in Scottsdale with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Scottsdale is targeting coordinator or associate project manager roles at the city's healthcare networks, hospitality groups, and commercial real estate firms, which regularly hire candidates without a full PM background. Moving laterally from operations, logistics, or administrative roles at Scottsdale corporate campuses is also common. Earning a CAPM or completing a Google Project Management Certificate strengthens entry-level applications, and volunteer project work with Scottsdale-area nonprofits builds a credible portfolio.
Which industries hire the most project managers in Scottsdale?
Most project manager openings in Scottsdale sit in Education and Government & Public Sector, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Scottsdale's concentration of healthcare campuses, wealth management and insurance headquarters, and technology services firms creates consistent year-round demand for project management talent across all experience levels.
