Entry Level Project Scheduler Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level project scheduler job?
Employers hiring entry level project schedulers typically look for coursework or internship experience with scheduling tools like Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or Smartsheet, alongside familiarity with Gantt charts and basic scope tracking. A portfolio showing a class project or volunteer coordination work gives you a concrete edge. Certifications such as CAPM or a scheduling fundamentals course signal commitment and help compensate for a short work history.
Which companies hire entry level project schedulers?
Companies hiring entry level project schedulers right now include AECOM, Ochsner Health, and Pcm Consulting, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. At this level, hiring tends to come from construction firms, government contractors, engineering consultancies, and large enterprise organizations that run structured onboarding programs for junior scheduling roles.
Are there remote entry level project scheduler jobs?
Yes, though most openings at this level are on-site or hybrid. About 12% of entry level project scheduler openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting employer preference for junior schedulers to learn workflows in person. Filtering by hybrid on Migrate Mate is a practical starting point if location flexibility matters to you.
Are these new grad project scheduler jobs?
Yes. The listings on this page include new grad, recent graduate, and junior roles that explicitly welcome candidates with little or no professional experience. A new grad friendly posting typically calls for zero to two years of experience, accepts internships or academic projects as qualifying background, and does not require industry-specific credentials as a hard requirement before applying.
Which industries hire the most entry level project schedulers?
Entry Level project scheduler roles concentrate in Healthcare & Medical Services, Construction & Real Estate, and Consulting & Professional Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors hire at the junior level because they run large, structured projects with defined schedules, giving new schedulers the training environment and mentorship that help them build practical skills quickly.
