Senior Level Proposal Coordinator Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a senior level proposal coordinator job?
Employers hiring at the senior level look for candidates who have owned full proposal cycles independently, not just contributed to them. Demonstrating that you have led pursuit teams, established process improvements, and mentored junior staff signals readiness. A portfolio of submitted proposals across complex, high-value opportunities and familiarity with compliance requirements like FAR or DFARS strengthens your candidacy significantly.
Which companies hire senior level proposal coordinators?
Companies hiring senior level proposal coordinators right now include TISTA Science and Technology Corporation, GHD, and KBR, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. At this level, hiring tends to concentrate at government contractors, large consulting firms, and defense and aerospace organizations that run continuous, high-volume bid operations.
Are there remote senior level proposal coordinator jobs?
Yes, though availability varies by employer and contract type. About 58% of senior level proposal coordinator openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with fully on-site roles more common in cleared defense environments where document handling requirements limit remote work.
What makes a proposal coordinator role senior level?
Senior level proposal coordinator roles are defined by scope, ownership, and leadership responsibility. At this stage, you are expected to manage the full proposal lifecycle from capture through submission, set standards for the team's work product, resolve complex compliance or formatting challenges independently, and mentor coordinators at earlier career stages. The role carries direct accountability for proposal outcomes, not just task execution.
Which industries hire the most senior level proposal coordinators?
Senior Level proposal coordinator roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Consulting & Professional Services, and Aerospace & Defense, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive demand because they pursue large-scale government, commercial, or institutional contracts that require dedicated senior professionals to manage competitive, high-stakes bid processes.
