Role- QA Automation Test Engineer (with Kafka)
Location: Dallas TX or Pittsburg PA or Cleveland OH
Required Qualifications to be Successful in this Role:
- Over 5+ years of experience working as an automation quality engineer in an Agile team
- 4+ years of test automation experience using Selenium with JAVA (Mandatory)
- Experience in managing code repositories and versions using Azure DevOps, GIT or SVN
- 4+ years Hands on with SOAP UI
- 3+ years Hand on experience in testing within Kafka streaming platform (Mandatory)
- Experience developing tests using BDD frameworks
- 4+ years of experience developing, maintaining & executing automated regression tests for web and backend applications
- 3+ years of experience writing SQL scripts and ETL Testing
Kafka Experience:
- Strong understanding of Apache Kafka concepts, including topics, partitions, producers, consumers, and security mechanisms
- Hands-on experience with Oracle and MongoDB, including the ability to write and execute queries based on defined mapping logic
- Proven experience in message testing, including JSON, Avro, and Kafka-based messages
- Strong expertise in Kafka client configuration and the ability to troubleshoot Kafka-related issues
- Experience with continuous integration (CI) practices and automated testing frameworks especially BDD (Cucumber/Karate)
- Ability to verify data integrity across Kafka pipelines, including:
- Serialization and deserialization validation
- Message structure and content validation
- Experience in designing, developing, and executing test plans and test scenarios to validate Kafka functionality, including Data production, Data consumption, End-to-end message processing
- Working knowledge and hands-on experience with Postman and Git
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum ceremonies and experience using Jira, Xray, and Confluence
