Which companies hire quality assurance engineers in Pittsburgh?
Pittsburgh quality assurance engineer roles are posted by PNC Financial Services, Zoll Medical Corporation, and Astrobotic Technology and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Pittsburgh's employer mix reflects the city's dual strengths in life sciences and advanced tech, so both regulated-industry manufacturers and fast-moving software companies are active hirers.
Are there remote quality assurance engineer jobs in Pittsburgh?

About 6% of quality assurance engineer openings tied to Pittsburgh are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with remote options most common among employers in the software and fintech sectors concentrated in and around downtown Pittsburgh.
How can I get a quality assurance engineer job in Pittsburgh with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Pittsburgh is targeting QA analyst or junior tester roles at mid-size software companies in the Strip District or East Liberty, where growth-stage teams often hire candidates who can demonstrate scripting basics and an eye for detail. Pittsburgh's Carnegie Mellon and University of Pittsburgh pipelines mean employers are accustomed to considering candidates with project-based portfolios over formal work history. Certifications in tools like Selenium or JIRA, combined with a portfolio of test cases or bug reports from personal or academic projects, give entry-level candidates a concrete edge locally.
Which industries hire the most quality assurance engineers in Pittsburgh?
