Quality Assurance Lead Jobs in Arizona: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a quality assurance lead in Arizona?
Most quality assurance lead roles in Arizona require a bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing technology, or a closely related field, combined with progressive experience in quality control or inspection. Arizona does not issue a state license for quality assurance leads, but certifications from the American Society for Quality, such as the Certified Quality Engineer or Certified Quality Auditor credential, are widely recognized by Arizona employers and often preferred in aerospace, defense, and semiconductor sectors.
How much do quality assurance leads make in Arizona?
Quality assurance leads in Arizona earn a median of about $100,650 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $63,920 for the lowest 10% to over $143,000 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire quality assurance leads in Arizona?
Employers hiring quality assurance leads in Arizona right now include DHL, Blue Spire, and State of Arizona, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Arizona's concentration of aerospace, semiconductor, and medical device manufacturers means demand remains steady across both large defense contractors and specialized production facilities throughout the Phoenix metro and Tucson corridors.
Which Arizona cities have the most quality assurance lead jobs?
Phoenix, Mesa, and Tempe have the most quality assurance lead openings in Arizona. Phoenix dominates hiring because of its dense cluster of aerospace primes, chip fabrication plants, and medical device manufacturers, while Tucson draws steady demand from defense and optics contractors, and Chandler benefits from Intel's major semiconductor campus, which anchors quality hiring across the East Valley supply chain.
Are there remote quality assurance lead jobs in Arizona?
Yes, but they're limited, because quality assurance lead work is largely hands-on, involving physical inspection, production floor oversight, and direct supplier or lab audits. About 25% of quality assurance lead openings tied to Arizona are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, and those roles tend to be concentrated in software QA, documentation and compliance auditing, and supplier quality management where travel to sites replaces daily on-site presence.
How can I get hired as a quality assurance lead in Arizona with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving into a quality inspector or quality technician role first, then building toward a lead title. Arizona employers like Honeywell, Raytheon Technologies, and Intel run structured early-career and associate programs that hire candidates with a two- or four-year technical degree and no direct QA leadership experience. Earning an entry-level American Society for Quality certification and demonstrating familiarity with ISO or AS9100 documentation strengthens applications considerably at Arizona manufacturing and defense sites.
Where can I find and apply to quality assurance lead jobs in Arizona?
You can find and apply to quality assurance lead jobs in Arizona on Migrate Mate, which lists current Arizona openings updated in real time. Search the listings for roles that match your background and experience level, then apply directly to the ones that fit.
