QTP lead

Essential Skills 

- Experience with QTP is a must 

- Knowledge of Visual Basic Script & SQL is must 

- Knowledge on .NET, JavaScript is added advantage. 

- Good experience in creating Automation Frameworks 

- Responsible for creating scripts to compare and validate data results from testing. 

- Responsible for setting up data, tools, databases to support integrated test environments. 

- Work with the development team to understand how changes in the software product affect maintenance of test scripts and the QA automated testing 

environments. 

- Responsible for converting manual test plans to automated test scripts. 

- Create and execute release and upgrade automation test plans. 

- Assist members of the QA staff with various automation related challenges. 

- Coordinate and lead the rollout of automated environment application upgrades. 

- Work closely with the development staff to ensure that issues/defects are dealt with in a timely and professional manner. 

- Develop and maintain any of smoke, performance, functional, and regression tests to ensure code is functioning as designed. 

- Troubleshoot defects and manage defect tracking and resolution processes so that a consistent, documented process is used and followed. 

- Fully document any unexpected anomalies or defects identified in testing with instruction of how to recreate each. 

- Conduct root cause analysis of identified defects, providing development/business partners with sufficient details to understand, replicate and 

resolve the defect. 

- Maintain well organized records of test results and historical analysis of test results. 

- Become and remain proficient in all programs necessary to perform the everyday duties of this position. 

Experience

- At least 8 years of experience designing and developing automated test scenarios. 

- Exposure to software release/bulid process/SDLC required. 

- Experience testing web and reporting services applications 

- Experience in software testing for Banking/Financial software is preferred. 

- Experience in Selenium is added advantage.
