Job Summary
We are hiring a Quality Inspector for a fast-paced CNC machining environment supporting Aerospace, Oil & Gas, and Power Generation industries. This role focuses heavily on precision dimensional inspection of tight-tolerance machined components This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and uphold compliance with industry regulations.
Duties
- Conduct thorough quality inspections using precision measuring instruments such as Keyence, Faro Arm, calipers, micrometers, and vision inspection systems to verify product dimensions and specifications.
- Perform in-process, first article, and final dimensional inspections
- Interpret complex blueprints and GD&T requirements
- Inspect tight-tolerance parts using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, height gauges, thread gauges, and other precision instruments
- Verify critical dimensions, surface finishes, and tolerances
- Complete detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate documentation
- Identify non-conformances and work closely with machinists for resolution
Qualifications
- 3+ years dimensional inspection experience in CNC manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of quality inspection techniques and the use of precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, and vision inspection systems.
- Strong GD&T and blueprint reading skills
- Experience inspecting tight-tolerance aerospace or oil & gas components
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced shop
- Familiarity with industry standards such as AS9100, ISO 9001, API Q1 is highly desirable.
- Experience with Faro Arm, Keyence and/or Calypso software or similar quality management systems is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail coupled with strong analytical skills to identify issues proactively.
