Quality Control Manager Jobs in Memphis: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a quality control manager job in Memphis?
Focus on Memphis's strongest hiring sectors: food and beverage manufacturing, third-party logistics, and medical device distribution, all of which cluster in South Memphis and along the I-55 and I-40 corridors. Candidates who combine hands-on inspection experience with working knowledge of FDA or ISO standards get the most callbacks here. Familiarity with high-volume, distribution-heavy operations is a genuine advantage in this market.
Which companies hire quality control managers in Memphis?
Companies currently hiring quality control managers in Memphis include Turner Construction Company, Riviana Foods, and Globus Medical, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of November 2026. Memphis's role as a major logistics and food production hub means both large national employers with local facilities and regional manufacturers are consistently active in the market.
Are there remote quality control manager jobs in Memphis?
Yes, though with limits, because quality control manager work is heavily on-site by nature, especially in manufacturing and distribution environments. About 0% of quality control manager openings tied to Memphis are remote or hybrid as of November 2026, with flexibility most common in documentation, supplier audit coordination, and compliance reporting functions rather than floor-level inspection roles.
How can I get a quality control manager job in Memphis with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Memphis is starting as a quality technician or production inspector at one of the city's food processing plants or logistics facilities in South Memphis, then building toward a supervisory role. Memphis employers in these sectors often promote from within and value hands-on floor experience over formal credentials. Earning a certification such as ASQ's Certified Quality Technician while working entry-level roles strengthens your candidacy considerably.
