In this role, you will partner directly with our founder and lead full-stack developer to perform a comprehensive financial model audit. You will verify our 30-year cash flow mechanics, tax incentive logic (IRA Section 48/48E, Domestic Content adders, Foreign Entity of Concern / FEOC exclusions), debt/equity structuring, and automated proforma calculations to ensure bankability and institutional precision.

Tax Incentive & Compliance Logic Review: Validate mathematical modeling of Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) incentives, including Domestic Content percentage thresholds, energy community adders, and FEOC filtering logic.
Developer Code Collaboration: Work directly with our software developer to review code implementations (converting financial formulas into backend functions) to ensure software outputs match institutional underwriting standards.
Stress-Testing & Edge-Case Auditing: Run sensitivity analyses and edge-case testing (e.g., varying degradation rates, blended hardware pricing structures, multi-tier utility escalation rates) to catch mathematical anomalies before production releases.
Bankability & Output Verification: Ensure output reports and proforma summaries meet the rigorous underwriting criteria required by commercial lenders, tax equity investors, and EPCs.
Qualifications & Requirements

Tax Credit Knowledge: Thorough understanding of IRA tax credit rules (Section 48/48E), Domestic Content guidance, and C&I power purchase agreement (PPA) / lease / cash purchase metrics.
Attention to Detail: Absolute precision with numbers, financial algorithms, and data verification.
Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour

Quantitative Analyst Jobs in New Jersey: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a quantitative analyst in New Jersey?
Quantitative analyst roles in New Jersey do not require a state-issued license, so the path centers on education and demonstrated technical skill. Most employers in the Jersey City and Princeton corridors expect at least a master's degree in financial engineering, applied mathematics, or statistics, with a doctorate preferred at top-tier firms. Candidates build competitive profiles through internships at New Jersey financial institutions, strong programming portfolios, and coursework from programs at Rutgers University or Stevens Institute of Technology.
How much do quantitative analysts make in New Jersey?
Quantitative analysts in New Jersey earn a median of about $98,630 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $60,160 for the lowest 10% to over $161,190 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire quantitative analysts in New Jersey?
Companies currently hiring quantitative analysts in New Jersey include Stradit, Aten Solar, and Valley Bank, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. New Jersey's concentration of investment banks, insurance carriers, and pharmaceutical companies in the Princeton and Jersey City areas makes it one of the broadest employer bases for quantitative roles outside of New York City.
Which New Jersey cities have the most quantitative analyst jobs?
The cities with the most quantitative analyst openings in New Jersey are Jersey City, Fort Lee, and Cliffwood. Jersey City dominates because of its dense cluster of investment banks and trading firms operating just across the Hudson from Wall Street, while Princeton draws quant talent into asset management and pharmaceutical analytics, and Newark anchors demand through its insurance and financial services headquarters.
Are there remote quantitative analyst jobs in New Jersey?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 100% of quantitative analyst openings tied to New Jersey are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting how much of the work involves modeling, coding, and data analysis that can be done independently. Model validation, research, and back-end quantitative development tend to offer the most remote flexibility, while trading-desk and client-facing roles typically require on-site presence.
How can I get hired as a quantitative analyst in New Jersey with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a structured internship or rotational analyst program at a New Jersey financial institution, since firms like Prudential Financial and Goldman Sachs' Jersey City offices regularly recruit new graduates into quantitative analyst associate tracks. Candidates without full-time experience strengthen their profile by completing a master's program at Rutgers or Stevens Institute of Technology, building a public modeling or coding portfolio, and targeting junior roles in risk analytics or quantitative research that transition naturally into full quant positions.
