Radiology Technologist Jobs in Jacksonville: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a radiology technologist job in Jacksonville?
Focus your search on Jacksonville's large hospital networks, the growing outpatient imaging centers along the Southside and Beaches corridors, and the VA and military-affiliated facilities near Naval Station Mayport and NAS Jacksonville. Candidates who hold ARRT certification, have experience with digital radiography systems, and can demonstrate cross-training in fluoroscopy or CT tend to move faster through hiring here. Networking through local health system career fairs in Riverside and Downtown also helps.
Which companies hire radiology technologists in Jacksonville?
Jacksonville radiology technologist roles are posted by UF Health, Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville, and BAPTIST Medical Center South and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Jacksonville's employer mix includes large regional health systems, federally operated military and VA facilities, and a growing network of freestanding diagnostic imaging and urgent care clinics across the city's suburban corridors.
Are there remote radiology technologist jobs in Jacksonville?
Yes, but only in a narrow slice of the field, since the role is almost entirely hands-on and requires operating imaging equipment on-site with patients. About 0% of radiology technologist openings tied to Jacksonville are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and those tend to be in teleradiology quality review, scheduling coordination, or imaging informatics rather than direct patient scanning.
How can I get a radiology technologist job in Jacksonville with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Jacksonville is completing a clinical externship at one of the city's hospital systems or imaging centers, which frequently convert strong externs into per-diem or part-time hires. Targeting float pool and per-diem postings at larger health networks in Riverside and Southside gives new graduates exposure across modalities. Volunteering for weekend or evening shifts, which are harder to fill, can also accelerate your first full-time offer locally.

Jacksonville's status as a regional medical hub, combined with a large active-duty and veteran population, keeps demand steady across both civilian health systems and federally operated facilities throughout the metro.
