Your responsibilities Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Regional Account Representative to join our team. You will be responsible for defining and implementing a long-term growth strategy for our customers within the cement as well as non-cement industries. You will leverage your expertise to drive sales of spare parts, field service opportunities, and equipment upgrades to maintain and modernize our customers’ assets allowing them to operate in the safest, most efficient manner possible.
Our solutions are focused on thyssenkrupp Polysius North America, Inc. installed base, also non-thyssenkrupp machines, equipment, and systems. You will own a regional territory and play a pivotal role in achieving the company's fiscal targets by building strong customer relationships, identifying opportunities, and providing technical expertise to meet customer needs.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate a commitment to safety.

Sales Target Achievement:
- Develops and implements a long-term strategic Sales plan for each customer. This includes setting specific, measurable goals, identifying target customers, and defining sales strategies.
- Aim to grow existing customer accounts in sales revenue year-over-year while maintaining minimum current gross margin levels for all service products. Implement strategies for upselling and cross-selling products and services.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within cement and non-cement producing customers. Utilize market research and other tools to uncover potential clients.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Conduct frequent site visits to understand customer requirements and provide tailored solutions. Ensure frequent and meaningful communication to keep customers informed and maintain engagement. Act as the primary point of contact for customers to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
- Establish and cultivate strong, long-term relationships with the account’s key decision makers. Develop a deep understanding of the corporate organizational structure and identify internal sponsors for our solutions.
Technical Understanding:
- Develop a comprehensive technical understanding for our service products and support our customers in selecting the best solution for their problems.
- Work together with the engineering team to ensure accurate and timely responses to technical inquiries. Address and resolve customer issues promptly and effectively.
- Perform client presentations and articulate our core values of the products and service solutions we are offering.
Market Analysis and Strategy:
- Provide market feedback to identify trends, competitor activities, and potential growth areas. Use this information to refine sales strategies and stay competitive.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the customers' industry, including key players, challenges, and technological advancements. Use this knowledge to identify new business opportunities.
- Provide input on product development and improvement based on customer feedback and market demands. Work with our product experts to ensure our offerings meet customer needs and industry standards.
Performance Reporting:
- Share regular updates and quarterly reports with improvement suggestions.
- Track pipeline, forecasts, and update account plans as needed.
- Keep CRM data accurate for reporting and analysis.
Your profile Required Education & Experience:
High School degree or General Education Degree (GED) and proven experience in sales within the industrial or cement plant sector.
Required Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong technical knowledge of cement plant or non-cement plant equipment.
- Demonstrated business acumen in balancing customer and business requirements, i.e., financials, strategic, and tactical thinking etc.
- Excellent level of verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Ability to convey technical information to audiences effectively.
- Inherent ability to work effectively in a team environment and strong desire to be successful.
- Organization and time management skills to succeed in a fast-paced environment, and impeccable follow up ability is crucial.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to quickly learn and use new software tools.
- Ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and growing customer accounts.
- Knowledge of customers and competitors is a plus.

Travel Demands:
- Ability to travel frequently to customer sites. Flexibility to accommodate travel schedules and customer requirements. (Travel 70+%)
