As we continue to grow, we are looking for a dynamic and experienced Regional Manager to lead our banking offices in Sudbury, Acton, Littleton, Chelmsford, Westford and Billerica.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Leadership and Management-Provide strong leadership, guidance, and support to Business Development Managers and their team within their region
- Strategic Planning-Develop and execute strategic plans for the region to achieve financial targets, market expansion and business growth
- Performance monitoring-Monitor branch performance indicators such as deposit growth, small business loan origination, customer satisfaction and compliance with bank policy and procedures
- Customer Relationship Management-Foster a customer-centric culture, emphasizing exceptional customer service, and manage escalated customer issues
- Compliance and Risk Management-Ensure that all branches within the region adhere to banking regulations, policies and procedures, and manage risk effectively
- Business Development-Identify opportunities for market growth, customer acquisition, and cross-selling bank products and services
- Market Analysis-Stay informed about local economic conditions, competitor activities, and market trends to adapt strategies accordingly
- Reporting-Provide regular reports and updates to the Head of Retail on regional performance, challenges and opportunities
- Staffing and succession planning-Oversee staffing levels, manage personnel issues and plan for succession within the region. In rare occurrences, cover branches as necessary to attain branch goals.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field preferred
- Minimum 10 years of banking experience, with 5 years in a managerial or leadership role
- Strong understanding of banking operations, regulations, and compliance
- Proven track record of achieving sales and growth targets
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Strong problem solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Provide strategic leadership and guidance to Business Development Managers and staff within a region
- Develop and execute regional business plans to achieve revenue and growth targets
- Monitor and analyze branch performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions
- Foster a customer-centric culture that prioritizes customer satisfaction and retention
- Ensure compliance with all banking regulations, policies and procedures
- Recruit, train, and mentor branch staff to enhance their skills and performance; ensuring they have the necessary knowledge and tools to excel in their roles
- Provide strong leadership to staff within the region, setting clear goals, and fostering a collaborative and motivated team environment
- Manage budgets, control expenses, and allocate resources effectively
- Resolve complex customer issues and inquiries escalated from branches
- Establish strong relationships with local businesses, community leaders, and organizations to drive business development initiatives
- Completes annual reviews for direct reports
- Manage staffing levels in their region and ensuring branches have appropriate coverage
