Mid Level Safety Coordinator Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a mid level safety coordinator job?
Position your existing experience around ownership, not just task completion. Highlight programs you led, incidents you investigated from start to close, and any training you delivered to other staff. Certifications like OSHA 30, CSP, or ASP reinforce your readiness. Tailor your resume to show measurable outcomes, such as reduced incident rates or improved audit scores, so hiring managers see a coordinator who drives results independently.
Which companies hire mid level safety coordinators?
Companies hiring mid level safety coordinators right now include IFF, JLL, and upchurch, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Employers at this level tend to be mid-size to large organizations with dedicated safety functions, active regulatory obligations, and enough operational complexity to need a coordinator who can manage programs with real autonomy.
Are there remote mid level safety coordinator jobs?
Yes, though the role is heavily field-oriented by nature. About 11% of mid level safety coordinator openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and those positions typically involve compliance documentation, training program management, or multi-site coordination work that can be handled off-site. Fully remote roles are more common in consulting, insurance, and corporate safety advisory functions.
How do I move up to a mid level safety coordinator role?
The path from entry level centers on deepening technical skills and taking on progressively broader ownership. Start by mastering core compliance frameworks, then volunteer to lead audits, manage a corrective action process, or coordinate a safety committee. Earning a credential like the OSHA 30-hour certification or an associate safety professional designation signals readiness. Employers want to see that you can manage a program, not just support one.
Which industries hire the most mid level safety coordinators?
Mid Level safety coordinator roles concentrate in Chemicals & Materials, Construction & Real Estate, and Healthcare & Medical Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive hiring because they combine high workforce density, regulatory scrutiny, and physical work environments where proactive safety management directly reduces liability and operational downtime.
