INTRODUCTION
The SAP MDG EAM Solution Lead is responsible for designing, implementing, and governing enterprise-wide Equipment and Functional Location (FLOC) master data using SAP Master Data Governance. This role acts as the design authority and solution owner for MDG EAM, ensuring standardized, compliant, and high-quality asset master data across a multi-plant, multi-system landscape integrated with SAP S/4HANA EAM and external platforms.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities
- MDG EAM Solution & Architecture
- Led enterprise MDG EAM Prometheus rollout for Equipment and Functional Location master data across a global, multi-plant landscape.
- Defined MDG target architecture (MDG Hub vs Co deployment) and designed integration with SAP S/4HANA EAM.
- Acted as solution owner and design authority for MDG EAM implementations.
- Data Governance & Operating Model
- Owned end-to-end governance design for asset master lifecycle (Create, Change, Extend, Block, Obsolete).
- Defined global RACI model for Data Owners, Stewards, and Custodians.

Established global MDG operating model, Data Council, governance cadence, and escalation framework for critical asset changes.

Data Model & Customizing
- Configured MDG EAM data model (USMD_EAM) including entity types, attributes, UI groupings, and enhancements.
- Designed custom fields, extensions, and key mappings using MDG data model enhancements.
- Defined global standards for Equipment, FLOC, Classes, Characteristics, and Measurement Points.
- Designed harmonization strategy for legacy asset structures into standardized MDG domains.

- Designed and implemented BRF+ based workflows for Equipment and FLOC:

- Implemented field control logic (hidden/mandatory/read only) by workflow step.

- Designed MDG replication framework to SAP S/4HANA EAM, PM modules, and external systems (Maximo, GIS, IoT).
- Configured DRF (Data Replication Framework) for real-time and batch replication.
- Managed IDoc and SOA services for asset synchronization.

Data Migration & Cutover
- Led legacy asset data migration into MDG EAM including mapping, cleansing, enrichment, and validation.
- Designed mock loads, dress rehearsals, and owned cutover strategy.

- Designed role-based authorization and segregation of duties for MDG EAM.

- Built governance KPIs including first pass approval rate, duplicate rate, workflow duration, and data completeness score.

Designed MDG cockpit dashboards and reported governance maturity to executive stakeholders.

- Led cross-functional teams across IT, Maintenance, Reliability, and Finance.
- Delivered global design workshops, training, and rollout support.
- Mentored functional consultants and internal teams.
- Owned business case and ROI justification for enterprise MDG programs.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional specifications.

- Provide system support and troubleshooting for SAP EAM solution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Document functional designs and processes.

- BACHELOR OF COMPUTER SCIENCE.
COMPENSATION
- Base Salary Range: $140,000 to $160,000 Per Annum.
