Job Summary:
The Senior Network Engineer (L4) is responsible for leading the implementation and optimization of Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI) and hybrid cloud networking environments. This role provides technical leadership, advanced troubleshooting support, and contributes to high‑level network design activities. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience in data center networking, cloud connectivity, automation, and cross-team collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead deployment, configuration, and optimization of Cisco ACI fabric components.
- Design and configure ACI constructs including VRFs, Bridge Domains, EPGs, contracts, and associated policies.
- Implement segmentation and micro-segmentation strategies in ACI environments.
- Oversee ACI fabric maintenance, upgrades, and operational health checks.
- Partner with architects on high-level design decisions and solution validation.
- Design and implement hybrid connectivity solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Configure Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, VPN gateways, and cloud routing architectures.
- Integrate ACI with cloud-native networking services to support hybrid workload traffic flows.
- Ensure best practices for cloud network security, routing, and performance optimization.
- Act as an L4 escalation point for high-severity incidents across ACI and cloud networks.
- Perform deep-dive diagnostics, packet captures, and traffic-flow analysis.
- Lead incident root cause analysis and preventive remediation activities.
- Coordinate with Cisco TAC and cloud providers for complex issue resolution.
- Lead automation initiatives using Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.
- Develop and maintain templates, playbooks, and scripts for repeatable deployments.
- Deliver technical knowledge-sharing sessions and mentor junior team members.
- Contribute to High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documentation.
- Create operational runbooks, implementation guides, and standard operating procedures.
- Ensure adherence to compliance requirements, network governance standards, and change management processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong expertise in Cisco ACI (policy model, spine-leaf architecture, multi-pod/multi-site concepts).
- Solid understanding of L2/L3 networking (BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, EVPN).
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP networking constructs and hybrid-cloud connectivity.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for complex network issues.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
Preferred Certifications:
- CCNP Data Center or CCNP Enterprise.
- Cloud networking certifications: AWS Advanced Networking Specialty, Azure Network Engineer Associate, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Network Engineer.
Mandatory Skills:
- Azure Network.
Experience:
- 8-10 Years.
The expected compensation for this role ranges from $80,000 to $158,000.
Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
