Senior Clinical Project Manager Jobs in Tempe: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a senior clinical project manager job in Tempe?
The strongest hiring in Tempe comes from clinical research organizations, medical device firms near ASU Research Park, and health systems with research arms in the South Mountain corridor. Candidates with hands-on Phase II through Phase IV trial experience and PMP or CAPM credentials move fastest. Familiarity with FDA-regulated environments and experience managing cross-functional teams across sponsor and CRO relationships gives applicants a clear edge in Tempe's competitive clinical market.
Which companies hire senior clinical project managers in Tempe?
Employers hiring senior clinical project managers in Tempe right now include Honeywell Aerospace, Align Technology, and WSP, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Tempe draws a mix of national CROs with regional offices, growing medical device manufacturers, and university-affiliated research enterprises tied to the broader ASU and Banner Health ecosystems.
Are there remote senior clinical project manager jobs in Tempe?
Yes, though availability depends on the role's phase and sponsor requirements, since site-facing responsibilities often require in-person presence. About 42% of senior clinical project manager openings tied to Tempe are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with flexibility most common in study start-up, regulatory affairs coordination, and data oversight functions that don't require direct site visits.
How can I get a senior clinical project manager job in Tempe with little or no experience?
The most realistic path in Tempe starts with a clinical research coordinator or project coordinator role at a local CRO or Banner Health-affiliated research site, where you build direct trial oversight experience. ASU's research programs and nearby bioscience incubators often hire junior coordinators who can move into project management after two to three years. Earning a CAPM or completing a clinical trials management certificate while in that role accelerates the transition significantly.
Which industries hire the most senior clinical project managers in Tempe?

Tempe's position within the Greater Phoenix bioscience corridor, combined with ASU's research infrastructure and Banner Health's regional footprint, keeps demand concentrated in those sectors year over year.
