Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Instructional Designer to support our growing call center team and support functions within our wealth management firm. This role will focus on designing, developing, and implementing engaging training programs that enhance the knowledge, skills, and performance of our wealth management professionals. This role partners closely with Instructional Facilitators, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and learning stakeholders to translate complex concepts into engaging, learner-centered solutions across multiple delivery modalities. The Senior Instructional Designer brings strong consultative skills and hands-on design expertise, applying advanced instructional design methodologies, data-driven insights, and adult learning principles to improve learning effectiveness and support measurable results. Additionally, the Senior Instructional Designer supports instructional design project delivery and contributes to facilitation methods and delivery approaches.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end design, development, and evaluation of complex, high-impact learning solutions aligned to business performance goals
- Consult with business leaders, stakeholders, and subject matter experts to assess learning needs and recommend effective instructional strategies
- Design and develop learner and customer-centered solutions across multiple modalities, including digital learning, instructor-led training (ILT and vILT), blended learning, and performance support tools to ensure routines and cultural practices are reinforced
- Apply advanced instructional design methodologies, adult learning principles, and data-driven insights to ensure learning effectiveness and measurable outcomes
- Demonstrate awareness and practical application of established instructional design models (e.g. ADDIE, SAM, Agile, Design Thinking), selecting and adapting approaches based on context and learner needs
- Demonstrate experience leveraging AI‑powered learning tools and platforms (e.g., adaptive learning engines, generative AI content tools, learning analytics) to design scalable, personalized, and data‑driven training solutions
- Coordinate instructional design project delivery efforts, including scope definition, timelines, sequencing, and cross-functional coordination
- Integrate multimedia gamification, and microlearning strategies to enhance learner engagement and knowledge retention
- Evaluate learning effectiveness using qualitative and quantitative data and recommend enhancements as needed

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Learning Experience Design, Education, or a related field preferred but not required; equivalent practical experience will be considered
- 7+ years of professional experience in instructional design, preferably within a large, fast‑moving, highly innovative, metrics‑ and data‑driven environment
- 3+ years of experience operating in a senior-level capacity, including delivering complex learning initiatives, providing informal peer support and knowledge sharing, and managing projects from intake through launch
- Experience designing learning solutions within financial services, wealth management, or other highly regulated industries strongly preferred
Core Competencies:
- Instructional Design Expertise: Demonstrates deep knowledge of adult learning theory, instructional design principles, and best practices for creating effective, learner‑centered experiences across modalities
- Project Coordination & Delivery: Partners with stakeholders to plan and deliver instructional design projects from concept through launch, coordinating scope, timelines, priorities, and dependencies to ensure on-time, high-quality outcomes
- Learning Technology Proficiency: Demonstrates strong proficiency with learning technology tools and platforms, including authoring and media tools (e.g., Articulate Rise, Camtasia, Clipchamp, Canva Pro), Microsoft productivity applications, Learning Management System (LMS) administration, and virtual training platforms to design, develop, deploy, and support effective learning experiences
- Stakeholder Partnership & Influence: Builds strong relationships with business partners, SMEs, facilitators, and learning leaders to drive alignment and shared ownership of outcomes. Partner with learning leadership to contribute ideas for process improvements, innovation, and scalable approaches within the learning function
- Continuous Improvement & Measurement: Uses qualitative and quantitative feedback to evaluate learning effectiveness and refine learning strategies and experiences
Pay Range:
$71,070.00 - $118,450.00
Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
