We’re looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to own the product layer of our system. You’ll be responsible for the frontend experience and the API/application layer—working across the stack to deliver reliable, end-to-end product workflows. You’ll collaborate closely with backend/data engineers and SRE, shaping how systems come together at the product layer, and contributing wherever needed to ship features. You’ll play a key role in moving us from early deployments to a repeatable product across multiple facilities. This is a high-ownership role. You will define patterns, unblock teams, and help shape how the product works—not just how it’s implemented. We've found tremendous value in collaborative problem-solving, so our team works from our SF office three days a week.
Key Responsibilities
Own development of our frontend (Next.js / TypeScript)
Own the API / application layer (FastAPI or future stack)
Design and implement end-to-end product workflows, not just individual components
Build and maintain:
Customer-facing UI for live operations and analytics
Internal tools for configuring and deploying facilities
Collaborate with product to translate high-level requirements into concrete workflows and implementations
Collaborate with backend engineers to define and evolve API contracts and data interactions
Improve performance, reliability, and maintainability of the frontend
Implement and maintain frontend and API testing and CI workflows
Own authentication flows and system integration at the product layer
Required Qualifications
Strong experience with TypeScript and React (Next.js or similar)
Experience building and maintaining API layers using backend frameworks (Python, Node, or similar)
5+ years building and shipping production systems
Experience owning end-to-end features or products, not just isolated components
Comfortable working across the stack (frontend + API layer)
Strong ownership and product mindset, with the ability to operate in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
Preferred Qualifications
Experience building real-time or data-heavy applications (e.g., streaming, time-series, or analytics systems)
Experience working with authentication systems (e.g., login flows, session management, SSO integrations)
Experience working with systems deployed outside pure cloud environments (e.g., on-prem, edge, or hardware-integrated systems)
How We Work with Product & Design
You will often start from high-level product goals, not detailed specifications. You’re expected to help define:
workflows
user interactions
system behavior
You’ll collaborate with product and design, but also fill in gaps and move work forward independently
Why This Role Matters
We’re scaling from a small number of deployments to many, and this role is critical in making that happen. We need:
A product layer that can support multiple facilities and configurations
Internal tools that make deployments repeatable
Clear workflows that work in real-world environments
Engineers who can move quickly without breaking the system
Equal Opportunity Statement
We’re an equal opportunity employer that values diversity and inclusion. We welcome teammates of all backgrounds and don’t discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or veteran status.
Benefits
At Claryo, we offer a competitive benefits package that supports your health and well-being, including — top-tier medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401k with employer matching, parental leave, and unlimited vacation.
Compensation Range: $155K - $180K

Senior Fullstack Software Engineer Jobs in San Francisco: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a senior fullstack software engineer job in San Francisco?
The clearest path is targeting San Francisco's dense fintech, enterprise SaaS, and healthtech corridors, particularly employers based in SoMa, Mission Bay, and the Financial District. Companies here prioritize engineers who can lead architecture decisions and ship across the full stack independently. A portfolio demonstrating ownership of production systems, experience with modern cloud infrastructure, and contributions to cross-functional teams gives candidates a real edge over those with narrower specializations.
Which companies hire senior fullstack software engineers in San Francisco?
San Francisco senior fullstack software engineer roles are posted by Rippling, OpenAI, and Anthropic and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. San Francisco's hiring base skews heavily toward venture-backed startups, late-stage growth companies, and established technology firms that maintain their core engineering presence in the city.
Are there remote senior fullstack software engineer jobs in San Francisco?
Yes, senior fullstack software engineering is one of the more remote-compatible roles in tech, since the work centers on code and collaboration tools rather than physical presence. About 63% of senior fullstack software engineer openings tied to San Francisco are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting how many Bay Area employers have normalized distributed engineering teams. Architecture reviews, product syncs, and on-call rotations are the functions most likely to require occasional in-person days.
How can I get a senior fullstack software engineer job in San Francisco with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in San Francisco is landing a junior or mid-level fullstack role at a smaller SoMa or Mission District startup willing to invest in growth, then building toward senior scope through ownership of a product surface or service. San Francisco bootcamp graduates and early-career engineers often break in through associate engineering programs at growth-stage companies, contract-to-hire arrangements, or referrals from the city's active developer meetup and hackathon scene.
Which industries hire the most senior fullstack software engineers in San Francisco?
Most senior fullstack software engineer openings in San Francisco sit in Technology & Software, Science & Research, and Biotechnology & Pharmaceuticals, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. San Francisco's role as a global hub for venture capital and technology company formation means these sectors sustain consistently high engineering headcount even when national hiring cools.
