INTRODUCTION
As a member of an agile development team, the Senior IT Project Manager will plan, track, and report on the progress of technology solutions of any size for Tulane University. The Project Manager 3 is reliable, is capable of collaborating with and organizing multiple teams, completes tasks on time, and shows a desire to learn. The Senior IT Project Manager guides the project delivery team(s) on using Agile/Scrum practices throughout the entire project lifecycle to ensure success as defined by adherence to standards of scope, budget, and timeline. The Project Manager 3 communicates proactively with all involved personnel, identifies problems, creates solutions, and implements efficiency improvements. The Senior IT Project Manager facilitates discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution, and provides support to the team by assisting with internal and external communication. The Senior IT Project Manager anticipates future project needs by communicating directly with customers and staying informed of relevant trends and industry news. The Senior IT Project Manager leans on experience and skill to mentor others in project management and agile principles. They provide expertise as needed to support team efficiency and success.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field and 6 years IT project management or IT scrum master experience

High School Diploma/Equivalent and 10 years IT project management or IT scrum master experience

Excellent written and verbal communications skills with ability to communicate verbally and in writing with both non-technical end-users and technical staff
- Ability to schedule and facilitate productive meetings and drive outcomes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Excellent organization, problem solving, and planning skills.
- Ability to interface with executives and stakeholders regarding issues of project scope and status.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the fundamentals of iterative and incremental design and development.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, activities, and tasks under time constraints.
- Demonstrated conflict resolution skills.
- Demonstrated ability to solve problems, make decisions, and lead projects with minimal direction.
- Project planning skills to support full resource utilization
- Knowledge of Agile and Scrum development principles.
- Knowledge of requirements-management and capacity planning tools to assist with scrum team planning (Jira, Rally/Central Agile, Version1, etc.).
- Demonstrated exceptional analytical problem decomposition to create requirements documents and assist others with problem decomposition.
