Summary:
The Surgical Environmental Services Team Member role is responsible for helping the surgical team by carrying out support activities which may include: environmental services, materials acquisition, patient, equipment and specimen transport, decontamination of surgical instruments, restocking of the department with clean linens, cleaning supplies and scrubs, and ensuring working oxygen tanks on stretchers/beds.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- Education: High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
- License/Certifications: N/A
- Experience: Six months of experience in an acute care setting performing environmental and materials responsibilities preferred.
- Additional Skills/Requirements Required: N/A
- Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
