Software Engineering Manager Jobs in Phoenix, AZ

Who We Are

At Kyndryl, we design, build, manage and modernize the mission-critical technology systems that the world depends on every day. So why work at Kyndryl? We are always moving forward – always pushing ourselves to go further in our efforts to build a more equitable, inclusive world for our employees, our customers and our communities.

The Role

Do you want to help modernize mission-critical systems and build scalable, modern software?

As a technical leader within Kyndryl’s App Dev, Data & AI team, you will guide the design and delivery of key enterprise solutions. In this role, supporting initiatives for clients like the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT), you will connect high-volume core platforms with cloud-native applications to deliver resilient, scalable products.

Your hands-on backend expertise (Java, Python, or .NET), alongside practical knowledge of microservices, RESTful APIs, and databases (relational and NoSQL), will drive development forward. Beyond writing clean code, designing components, and troubleshooting across the full SDLC, you will conduct code reviews, define technical standards, and mentor fellow engineers.

You will translate complex requirements into clean architectural designs, help refactor legacy logic for containerized and cloud environments, run product demos, and partner closely with cross-functional teams to deliver dependable software.

If you enjoy pairing hands-on engineering with technical leadership to drive real-world modernization, this is the role for you!

Your Future at Kyndryl

At Kyndryl, we invest directly in your growth. You can expect dedicated mentorship, collaborative peers, and continuous learning opportunities to keep your technical edge sharp. Joining our team gives you the chance to work on high-impact projects, pursue certifications across major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP), and expand your expertise in modern DevOps and container orchestration.

Kyndryl currently does not require employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, however, if you are hired to work at a client, customer, or partner location, you may be required to show proof of vaccination to align with their respective COVID-19 vaccination policies. Those who believe they are eligible may apply for a medical or religious accommodation prior to the start of employment.
