General Role Description / Position Summary
This is a part time role, up to 20 hours/week. The Software Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer I is responsible for manual and automated testing of the Edovate application platform. Success in this role means ensuring all software features meet the planned requirements as defined by a user story’s acceptance criteria, and that software defects are detected and resolved as early in the software development life cycle as possible.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases for all Edovate software applications
- Executing manual and automated test plans
- Maintain tasks to ensure they are up to date in our project tracking system
- Assist in triaging reported software defects
- Maintain process procedures, test procedures, and quality manuals to illustrate the scope, requirements, and function of the feature or fix being tested
- Identify root causes of problems in the production process; recommend and/or implement corrective measures
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- 1-3 years of experience in software quality assurance, including both manual and automated testing
- Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
- Proven ability to develop, document, and execute test cases, scripts, and plans
- Proficiency with bug tracking and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar)
