How do I get an entry level senior backend developer job?
Build a portfolio of backend projects that demonstrate real skills: REST APIs, database design, authentication, and deployment pipelines. Tailor your resume to each posting, highlight the specific languages and frameworks listed, and be ready to complete a technical screen involving data structures and system design basics.
Which companies hire entry level senior backend developers?
Companies hiring entry level senior backend developers right now include CVS Health, Photon, and Capital One, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Are there remote entry level senior backend developer jobs?
Yes, remote and hybrid options do exist at the entry level, though on-site roles are common for candidates early in their careers. About 11% of entry level senior backend developer openings are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, so filtering by work setting on Migrate Mate can help you narrow to the arrangement that fits your situation.
