We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Sous Chef specializing in pizza to join our dynamic culinary team. Duties
- Supervise daily kitchen operations, focusing on pizza preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality.
- Lead and manage kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and motivating team members to perform at their best.
- Oversee food production processes, ensuring adherence to food safety sanitizing procedures and hygiene standards across all stations.
- Manage inventory control and food handling to minimize waste, optimize costs, and ensure the availability of ingredients for menu items.
- Plan menus in collaboration with management, incorporating dietary considerations and catering requests while maintaining creative flair.
- Coordinate shift management duties, including opening and closing procedures, ensuring smooth service flow during busy hours.
- Uphold food safety standards by implementing proper food management practices and conducting regular sanitation checks.
- Assist with catering events or banquet functions as needed, ensuring seamless execution from setup to service.
- Monitor food service quality during serving times, providing guidance on presentation and customer satisfaction.
- Support restaurant management in cost control initiatives and maintaining high hospitality standards.
Experience
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a fast-paced restaurant environment, preferably with fine dining or pizza-focused establishments.
- Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food production, cooking techniques, and kitchen management.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing teams as a chef, including training staff on food safety sanitizing procedures and food handling practices.
- Experience with inventory management, cost control measures, and menu planning tailored to diverse dietary needs.
- Background in catering or banquet services is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with restaurant management systems and shift management responsibilities.
- Strong leadership skills combined with excellent communication abilities to foster teamwork and deliver outstanding hospitality experiences.
