Role description
Location: Bellevue, Washington (3 days Hybrid)
JD Details
Principal DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in Azure Azure DevOps ADO SAS platform migration and DevOps Copilot. The role involves leading end-to-end enterprise DevOps transformation, driving migration efforts, modernizing pipelines, designing the DevOps ecosystem, and ensuring scalable, secure, high-performance CICD implementations.
Key Responsibilities

End-to-End DevOps Ownership: Lead transformation initiatives across application and infrastructure layers, owning the full lifecycle from design to optimization and serving as the primary accountability point for DevOps architecture and delivery.

ADO SAS Migration: Drive migration from legacy SAS environments to Azure DevOps pipelines, define strategies, map dependencies, mitigate risks, and ensure smooth cutover with optimized analytics workloads.

CICD Pipeline Architecture: Design enterprise-grade CICD pipelines using ADO, implement YAML-based frameworks, and standardize deployments across environments (Dev/QA/Prod).

DevOps Ecosystem Platform Design: Define the overall DevOps ecosystem integrating Azure services, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/ARM), and monitoring tools while establishing scalable orchestration frameworks.

Copilot Integration: Lead adoption of Microsoft Copilot in DevOps workflows to automate template generation, RCA incident handling, and drive productivity improvements.

Automation Orchestration: Build fully automated pipelines, implement orchestration capabilities, and drive automation to eliminate manual effort.

Governance Security Best Practices: Establish DevSecOps controls, ensure secure pipeline design, secrets management, compliance, and adherence to enterprise standards.

Stakeholder Delivery Leadership: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, lead client discussions, plan roadmaps, and mentor teams to enhance DevOps maturity.
Required Skills Experience
Core Skills: Azure DevOps, CICD architecture, YAML pipelines, SAS legacy analytics systems (preferred), Azure Cloud, IaaS/PaaS, AKS, Functions, Terraform, ARM, Bicep, Git, containerization, monitoring, automation, and scripting (Python, PowerShell).
Experience Level: 12-18 years overall IT experience with 10 years in DevOps architecture or similar roles and a proven track record in large-scale enterprise transformations.

Benefits
Compensation range: $133,202.00 to $140,000.00 per year
