Supply Chain Jobs in Tempe: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a supply chain job in Tempe?
Focus on the sectors that drive Tempe hiring: semiconductor and electronics manufacturers along the Price Road Corridor, aerospace suppliers near Phoenix-Mesa Gateway, and the retail and e-commerce distribution hubs clustered around the 101 and I-10. Candidates with experience in demand planning, warehouse management systems, or procurement stand out. Familiarity with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma principles is a concrete edge with Tempe's industrial employers.
Which companies hire supply chains in Tempe?
Companies currently hiring supply chains in Tempe include Amazon, Benchmark, and BD, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Tempe attracts a mix of large tech and aerospace firms, regional distribution operations, and mid-size manufacturers that maintain dedicated supply chain teams year-round.
Are there remote supply chain jobs in Tempe?
Yes, but only for certain roles. Hands-on positions such as warehouse coordination, quality inspection, and logistics operations require on-site presence, while analytical and planning roles are more likely to offer flexibility. About 22% of supply chain openings tied to Tempe are remote or hybrid as of September 2026. Demand planning, procurement analyst, and supplier relationship roles are the most likely to offer remote or hybrid schedules in the Tempe market.
How can I get a supply chain job in Tempe with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Tempe is through operations or warehouse associate roles at the large fulfillment and distribution centers near the 101 corridor, which regularly hire without prior supply chain titles. Arizona State University's supply chain programs also connect students to local internships with Tempe-area manufacturers and retailers. Earning a APICS CSCP or similar foundational certification signals commitment and helps candidates compete for junior buyer and inventory analyst openings at Tempe's mid-size employers.
Which industries hire the most supply chains in Tempe?
Tempe supply chain roles concentrate in Energy and Investment & Asset Management, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Tempe's position as a hub for semiconductor production, aerospace component manufacturing, and major retail distribution networks makes those sectors the steadiest and most active sources of local supply chain hiring.
