We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Tier 1 IT Support Technician to join our team for immediate hire. This role will primarily focus on our South Georgia clients.

Compensation & Work Environment

· Hourly Rate: $18 - $25/hr, commensurate with experience.

· Work Environment: This is a remote position working from home with 25% travel to client sites. Milage and other expenses are reimbursed.

· Schedule: Monday – Friday 8am-5pm

Position Overview

The Tier 1 IT Support Technician is the first point of contact for our clients, responsible for providing prompt, friendly, and effective technical support. This role requires excellent troubleshooting skills, a commitment to client satisfaction, and the ability to manage and resolve a variety of technical issues spanning desktop, network, and application support within a multi-client MSP environment.

Key Responsibilities

· Provide professional and efficient Tier 1 help desk support via phone, email, and ticketing system.

· Log, prioritize, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues related to operating systems, hardware, software, and network connectivity.

· Support a variety of end-user devices, including Windows Desktops, Apple MacBooks, tablets, and cell phones.

· Perform basic administration and troubleshooting of network components such as firewalls, switches, and wireless access points (APs).

· Escalate complex issues to Tier 2/3 staff when necessary, ensuring smooth transitions and clear documentation.

· Maintain accurate and detailed records of all support activity, resolutions, and configurations within the documentation and ticketing systems.

· Contribute to the creation and maintenance of internal knowledge base articles and client-facing documentation.

Required Qualifications

· 1+ year of professional experience in a Help Desk or Service Desk role, preferably within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment.

· Proven knowledge of fundamental networking concepts and the ability to troubleshoot basic issues with firewalls, switches, and APs.

· Experience supporting and troubleshooting issues across Windows Desktop operating systems.

· Experience providing technical support for Apple MacBooks, tablets, and cell phones (iOS/Android).

· Strong verbal and written communication skills with a focus on exceptional customer service.

Candidates with experience in the following specific technologies are highly encouraged to apply:

· Fortigate Firewalls

· Ninja One (for ticketing and/or RMM)

· BitDefender (or other enterprise-level antivirus/endpoint protection platforms)

· Hudu (or other professional IT documentation platforms)

Education and Certification

· High school diploma or equivalent required.

· Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Cisco Certified Network Associate or any Microsoft Certification (e.g., MS-900, AZ-900) are a significant plus.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
