Make Your Mark at Revolution Group
Are you a CPA who wants to do sophisticated, high-complexity tax work — without sacrificing your life to do it?
At Revolution Group, LLC, we’re looking for a Tax Manager to sit at the intersection of tax execution and wealth strategy for our ultra-high-net-worth client base.
This is not a high-volume tax role.
This is not a traditional public accounting environment.
This is not an 80-hour-a-week job during busy season — or any season.
This role is built around tax planning first. Return preparation is part of the job, but it’s not the point of the job — it’s the byproduct of doing planning well. We built this role around a consistent 40–45 hour week, all year long, with a deliberately curated client base (a mix of 1040s, S-corps, trusts, and LLCs) — a small fraction of what a typical tax manager carries elsewhere. We’ve grown quickly since launching this practice and will keep adding clients, but we’re growing on purpose: we’re protecting depth over volume so the team can do real strategic work on every relationship, not just push returns out the door.
Who We Are
Revolution Group, LLC isn’t just another firm; it’s a movement. Our founder, once the lead strategist for one of the world’s richest families, created Revolution Capital, our SEC-registered investment advisor and planning division, to fix what’s broken in wealth management: lackluster service, generic portfolios, and misaligned priorities. We bring elite strategies, including private investments, to high-net-worth individuals and families, delivering results that matter.
We’re a REAL FIDUCIARY™, fee-only, and fiercely committed to our clients’ best interests. Our purpose? To create financial security and a legacy for generations. Our culture? Hardworking, humble, and forward-thinking. Our goal? Measurable success — for our clients and our team.
The Role
As our Tax Manager, you’re being hired primarily for your planning mind, not your production speed. You’ll sit in on client meetings alongside the advisory team and join internal strategy sessions where we dig into creative tax planning and complexities for each client. Your tax expertise directly shapes the advice our clients receive. Return preparation rounds out the role and keeps you close to the details that make planning effective — but it’s secondary to the planning work itself.
This role sits at the center of:
Strategy — leading tax planning and contributing tax perspective to client planning conversations
Systems — building the infrastructure that lets our tax function scale without losing quality
Execution — preparing and managing filings with precision, in support of the plan
What You’ll Do
Strategy & Client Collaboration (primary focus)
Lead and contribute tax planning strategy for each client, ahead of and alongside the advisory team
Sit in on client meetings as part of the advisory team
Partner with advisors in internal strategy sessions to build a tax plan for each client
Support direct client-facing tax communication and delivery
Tax Execution & Preparation (supporting the plan)
Prepare individual and business tax returns for UHNW clients (1040s, S-corps, trusts, LLCs)
Manage tax filing and extension workflows with accuracy and timeliness throughout the year
Ensure compliance with federal and state tax regulations
Operational Excellence
Improve and maintain tax onboarding processes
Build scalable workflows to support a growing client base
Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvement
Quality Control
Ensure accuracy and completeness of all filings
Reduce errors, rework, and inefficiencies
Maintain a high standard of client deliverables
Growth & Beyond-the-Return Opportunities
Opportunities to take on consulting work with clients beyond core tax prep
Opportunities to present continuing education sessions to peers and industry groups
Exposure to business consulting work as the firm’s advisory capabilities expand
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications
CPA license required
3–7+ years of tax preparation or public accounting experience
Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws
Experience
Tax planning and strategy for individuals and closely-held businesses — not just compliance prep
Individual and business tax return preparation
Experience with high-net-worth or ultra-high-net-worth clients preferred
Comfort working directly with clients in a meeting setting, not just behind the scenes
Skillset
Strong organizational and systems-thinking ability
Detail-oriented with high standards for accuracy
Tech-forward mindset (automation, workflow tools, efficiency improvement)
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Self-starter who thrives with autonomy and ownership
What Makes This Role Different
A consistent 40–45 hour week, year-round — no busy-season burnout
A deliberately curated client base — a fraction of the volume a typical tax manager carries, even as we grow
A role built around tax planning first — return prep supports the plan, it isn’t the job
A real voice in client strategy meetings, not a back-office function
Fully integrated with the wealth advisory team — no silos
Significant autonomy in how you manage your workflow and approach
Opportunities beyond compliance — consulting work, CE presentations to peers, and business consulting as the firm grows
Opportunity to build and shape internal tax infrastructure as the practice grows
Team-based culture with regular team events, built on EOS and our core values: Client First, Teamwork, Urgency, Execution, Communication, Problem Solving, and Accountability
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive base salary (based on experience)
Performance-based bonus tied to execution quality and operational contribution
Health insurance
Retirement plan
Final Note
This role is ideal for someone who wants to:
Lead with planning, not just preparation
Be a genuine voice in client strategy, not just a preparer
Do complex, intellectually engaging tax work without an 80-hour season
Grow into consulting, CE speaking, and broader advisory work over time
Build better systems
Deliver high-quality outcomes in a true team environment
If you’re looking for a high-volume tax prep role, this is not the right fit.
If you want complex work, real autonomy, a seat at the strategy table, and a sustainable schedule — we’d welcome a conversation.

Tax Attorney Jobs in Nebraska: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a tax attorney in Nebraska?
To become a tax attorney in Nebraska, you must earn a Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school, then pass the Nebraska Bar Examination administered by the Nebraska State Bar Commission. After passing, you apply for admission through the Nebraska Supreme Court. Many candidates pursuing tax specialization also complete an LLM in Taxation before or after bar admission, which is a meaningful differentiator when applying to corporate or firm roles in Omaha or Lincoln.
How much do tax attorneys make in Nebraska?
Tax attorneys in Nebraska earn a median of about $109,170 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $65,030 for the lowest 10% to over $217,700 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire tax attorneys in Nebraska?
Companies currently hiring tax attorneys in Nebraska include KPMG, KPMG US, and Revolution Group, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Nebraska's large corporate headquarters and regional financial institutions create consistent in-house demand alongside the state's established mid-size and large law firms.
Which Nebraska cities have the most tax attorney jobs?
Omaha, Lincoln, and Blair account for the largest concentration of tax attorney openings in Nebraska. Omaha dominates because it is home to Fortune 500 headquarters, major insurance carriers, and regional banking institutions, while Lincoln's presence reflects state government agencies, university-affiliated legal work, and a growing professional services sector that sustains steady demand.
Are there remote tax attorney jobs in Nebraska?
Yes, and more than many legal specialties, since tax work is largely research-based, document-driven, and client-facing through calls and written advice rather than courtroom appearances. About 32% of tax attorney openings tied to Nebraska are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting the broader shift in corporate and firm legal departments. Federal and state tax compliance work, tax research, and advisory roles are the functions most frequently offered on a remote or hybrid basis.
How can I get hired as a tax attorney in Nebraska with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a summer associate or post-graduate associate position at one of Omaha's or Lincoln's mid-size to large law firms, which typically pipeline new graduates into tax practice groups. Nebraska-based employers like Berkshire Hathaway subsidiaries and Mutual of Omaha occasionally post entry-level in-house tax analyst or junior counsel roles that accept candidates without prior attorney experience. Completing an LLM in Taxation before applying, or gaining experience as a CPA or tax analyst in a corporate finance role, substantially strengthens candidacy for associate-level tax attorney openings.
Where can I find and apply to tax attorney jobs in Nebraska?
You can find and apply to tax attorney jobs in Nebraska on Migrate Mate, which lists current Nebraska openings updated on a rolling basis. Search the listings for roles that match your experience level, preferred city, and tax specialty, then apply directly to the ones that fit.
