Tax Intern Jobs in Miami: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a tax intern job in Miami?
The strongest path in Miami is targeting the Big Four and regional public accounting firms clustered in Brickell and Coral Gables, which run structured intern programs tied to busy season. Multinational corporations headquartered downtown also hire tax interns for transfer pricing and international compliance work. A working knowledge of Florida's sales and use tax rules and any experience with corporate or partnership returns gives candidates a clear edge in this market.
Which companies hire tax interns in Miami?
Companies currently hiring tax interns in Miami include KPMG, Alvarez & Marsal, and CBIZ, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Miami's market draws from both large public accounting firms serving Latin American clients and multinational corporations with regional headquarters in Brickell and the greater Miami-Dade area.
Are there remote tax intern jobs in Miami?
Yes, though tax intern roles are less remote-friendly than purely analytical positions because much of the work involves reviewing physical documents, using firm-specific software on secured systems, and shadowing senior staff. About 30% of tax intern openings tied to Miami are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with research tasks and return preparation often the most flexible parts of the role.
How can I get a tax intern job in Miami with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Miami is applying to smaller regional firms in Coral Gables and Doral that hire accounting students for tax-season support before they finish their degree. Volunteer tax preparation through VITA sites operating in Miami-Dade builds real return experience that local firms recognize. Fluency in Spanish is a genuine differentiator given Miami's volume of Latin American cross-border clients, and candidates who highlight it stand out to firms serving that corridor.
Which industries hire the most tax interns in Miami?
Most tax intern openings in Miami sit in Accounting & Auditing, Consulting & Professional Services, and Investment & Asset Management, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Miami's role as a gateway for Latin American trade and finance means financial services, real estate, and international business generate the largest share of local tax work, creating consistent intern demand across those sectors.
